Course Details
This 2 hour workshop covers the basics of first aid. The course is designed to gain an understanding and practise of first aid skills.
Course Content
How to deal safely, promptly and effectively with an adult or child with injuries or illness, which occur in the home, workplace or community.

Who is the course for?
There are no formal entry requirements for this course and learners do not need any previous first aid experience.
How will I be taught and assessed?
Assessment will be carried out during practical and theoretical activities. Learners will be expected to be carry out physical activities and assessment including working on the floor.
How will I progress?
There may be an opportunity to progress onto our Paediatric and Adult First Aid course or Level 3 Emergency First Aid and Work qualification. There are also opportunities to attend other SAFL courses. Please speak to your tutor for further information.
Do I need to bring my own equipment/material?
It is recommended that learners wear comfortable and practical clothing and bring note paper and a pen. All other equipment and materials are provided.
