This course is for adults who want to improve their IT skills and specifically at using Microsoft PowerPoint.

Entry Requirements

You will need to provide evidence that you have any of the following:

  • Been a resident of the UK/EU for the past three years.

  • Proof of immigration status
  • Aged 19+

​For these workshops, you need to have basic level ICT and English (working competently at Entry level 1/2) to support achievement, progression and potential employment.

It is important that learners attend the whole session, as not attending part reduces your ability to achieve on the course.

The benefits of this course

These workshops will develop the digital knowledge and skills needed in most jobs today, giving you the basic knowledge of computer systems in specific areas. 

Teaching

All the workshops are run by a qualified and experienced tutor.  Learners will attend one set session and experience a variety of learning activities. 

How will progress be monitored and assessed?

Learning targets will be agreed with the tutor at the beginning of the session.  

After completing this course, could I progress onto another course?

Your Tutor will discuss your next steps towards the end of your course and suggest further qualifications that may be appropriate.  You may like to study further ICT courses such as Entry Level 3 Award in Essential Digital Skills, Level 1 Essential Digital Skills or a Level 2 Digital and IT Skills qualification. 

Equipment Required

A note pad and pen/pencil would be useful. 

Any materials needed for the course are provided by us.

 

Your course fees are paid for through the West Midlands Combined Authority, which is government funding.

Each workshop is 5 hours
