Course Details:

Join us for an introduction to creative writing! Unlock the inner wordsmith with this free two-hour workshop.  This fun with words workshop will empower you to write your own poem to take home with you. Meet like minded people and share your work with an end of session read out. Go on give it go!

Teaching:

Informal teaching process using well known poems to work from to produce new and original work. One to one support as well as group support and advice.  There will also be a question-and-answer section.  At the end of the workshop, you will share your work with the group.

How will progress be monitored and assessed?

Your tutor will provide advice and support throughout the workshop.

Qualification:

This is a non-accredited workshop; however, we will provide an in-house certificate.

Next Steps:

  • At the end of this workshop, you may like to consider enrolling on a other SAFL courses such as English, maths or digital Skills.

  • Encourage further study in creative writing as a hobby, moving towards performing work on the live circuit.

  • Building confidence to engage with other adult education courses.
