Course Details

This programme and been designed to support people back into work, through a variety of workshops, online learning modules, acitivty trips, work experience and one to one mentoring and employment support. 

There are 3 programme options to support individual needs including:

1 Week Programme

  • Monday to Friday including a variety of face-to-face modules related to workplace skills, health and wellbeing and employment support.

6 Week Programme

  • Week 1 – Full time Monday to Friday including a variety of face-to-face modules related to workplace skills and health and wellbeing.

  • Week 2 – 6 Independent learning, weekly mentor support and employment support.

12 Week Programme

  • Week 1 – Full time Monday to Friday including a variety of face-to-face modules related to workplace skills and health and wellbeing.

  • Week 2 – 6 Independent learning, weekly mentor support and employment support.

  • Week 7 – Full time Monday to Friday including a variety of face-to-face modules related to workplace skills and health and wellbeing.

  • Week 8 – 12 Independent learning, weekly mentor support, volunteer work experience and employment support.

Entry Requirements

Aged 19+ and meet one the below criteria:

  • Long term unemployed
  • Long term illness or disability
  • Carer

Teaching

Learning will take place in a supportive environment, where professional teaching will be differentiated for individual learner needs. The course will be delivered using a combination of face-to-face classroom-based workshops where you will take part in with one to one, paired and small group work. Independent online learning modules, activity trips, one-to-one mentoring and employment support.

How will progress be monitored and assessed?

Your individual learning goals will be agreed at the beginning of the programme and recorded on your individual aspiration plan.  The aspiration plan will be used throughout the course to assess your progress.  Progression will be monitored through assessment via observation of practical activities, marking of completed work and through group discussion.  The mentor will assess your learning during the sessions and will provide you with individual feedback. 

Qualification

You will receive an in-house certificate upon completion.

Next Steps

After this course you may want to progress onto qualifications in English, Maths and ICT to further support your career progression.  Alternatively, you may wish to consider an apprenticeship.

Equipment Required

You may wish to bring a note pad and a pen or pencil. Any other materials you need for the course are provided by us.
