Course Details
This course offers you the opportunity to learn the techniques required to crochet a Granny square. You will learn about different types of yarns and their weights, different crochet hooks and basic stitches for crocheting.
Course Content
You will be able to hold the hook, hold the yarn, make a slip knot, make a chain, make a slip stitch and crochet a Granny Square using these techniques.

Who is the course for?
This course is suitable for all levels and abilities including complete beginners.
How will I be taught and assessed?
Teaching is through practical activities, demonstration, one to one support, informative handouts and discussion.
How can I progress?
SAFL provide other textile courses including Sewing Skills and Upcycling Sewing.
Do I need to bring my own equipment/materials?
Learners will need yarn/wool, crochet hooks, knitting needles suitable for the weight of the yarn/wool. This will be discussed with learners at enrolment.
