Course Details
Join us for an introduction to creative writing. Unlock the inner wordsmith with this 10 week course. This fun with words course will empower you to write your own poems to take home with you. Meet like-minded people and share your work.

During this course you will be exploring a variety of new ways to write. Some of the skills you will be developing will include:
- Trying something new
- Building on your own experience
- Socialising in a friendly environment
- Taking time out for yourself
- Developing confidence
- Developing your language and writing skills

Who is the course for?
Suitable for learners of any level who would like to develop their writing skills and gain support and advice from a published writer.
How will I be taught and assessed?
Informal teaching process using well known poems, short stories and prose to work from to produce new and original work. One to one support as well as group support and advice. There will also be a question-and-answer section.
How can I progress?
Suitable progression paths include:
- Enrolling on another SAFL course such as English, Maths or Digital skills.
- Encouraging further study ing creative writing as a hoby, moving towards preforming work on the live circuit.
- Builing confidence to engange with other adult education courses.
Do I need to bring my own equipment/materials?
You will need to bring pens, paper and a notebook.
