Setting and changing to a Strong Password
Setting a secure password doesn't have to be tricky.
But there are a few things to keep in mind:
- Use a mixture of uppercase and lowercase letter.
- Use special characters such as ",!'.;
- Use a mixture of letters and numbers.
- Make your password long.
- Consider using the number 0 instead of the letter O and @ instead of the letter a.
- Don't share your password with anyone.
- Change your passwords roughly once every 3 months should be good.
- Don't use the same password for everything - It can be difficult to remember a lot of different passwords. As a minimum make sure the passwords you use for your online banking and email are unique from your other passwords.
- Use a password manager and keep the password for that manager unique.
Here we have a short video to show you how to change your password on our Equal learning platform.
