Course Details
This course is for learners who want to improve their maths skills and gain a nationally recognised qualification. The course is offered at entry level 1, entry level 2,entry level 3, level 1 and level 2.

Benefits
Learners will develop their maths skills within a range of skill areas. This may include carrying out calculations with whole numbers, fractions, decimals and percentages, shape and space; money, time, weight, capacity, area and volume and handling data; how to interpret graphs, charts and find statistical averages from sets of data.
How will I learn?
Full support will be provided by the tutor with demonstrations, handouts, discussion and practical activities.
Monitoring and assessment
Individual learning outcomes will be agreed at the beginning of the course between the learner and the tutor and they will be recorded on an individual learning plan. The ILP will be used throughout the course to assess learners’ progress. The tutor will assess learning during the sessions and will provide learners with individual feedback while reviewing achievements.
Qualification
At the end of the course and upon successful completion of summative assessment learners will be awarded a nationally recognised certificate from NCFE.
Progression opportunities
At the end of this course learners may want to progress to the next level of maths.

There are no fees for this course.
Equipment Required
Resources are provided however learners may wish to bring their own stationery with them.
