Course Details

This qualification will give you the underpinning knowledge that is required to ensure you can successfully work in a range of different environments in a business administration role. You will develop essential knowledge of how to carry out administrative tasks such as how to manage information and supporting events. You will also learn how to apply your knowledge in a variety of industries and job roles.

The course is split into seven manageable units:

  • Unit 1: Principles of providing administrative services

  • Unit2 : Principles of business document production and information management

  • Unit 3: Understand communication in a business environment

  • Unit 4: Understand employer organisations

  • Unit 5: Understand how to develop working relationships with colleagues

  • Unit 6: Understand how to carry out business administration tasks

  • Unit 7: Understand how to prepare text.

Entry Requirements

For this course, you need to have level one ICT, English (working competently at Level 2) and maths skills to support achievement, progression and potential employment.

Before you can join this course, you will be required to complete an initial interview and assessment to ensure the course is suitable, and identify that you have an adequate level of English, maths and ICT

Teaching

Subject specialist support from a Tutor and access to a Learner Support Advisor for everyday queries. Distance learning is a way of learning remotely without attending lessons in a classroom or having regular face to face contact with a tutor, which means you can study at your own pace, in your own home at a time that suits you with the freedom to revisit areas of the course as little or as much as you like without having to keep the same pace as others*.

Your tutor will have regular contact with you to discuss your progress, and will be available to assist you along the way.

You would be expected to complete on average one unit every three weeks, with a commitment to 4-8 hours of studying a week.

 

How will progress be monitored and assessed?

Learners will complete their assessments at the end of each unit/part within their course.

Written feedback on assessments must be fed back to learners on all delivery methods using the feedback template.

Assessments will be internally quality assured by the centre and externally quality assured by an external quality assurer from the relevant Awarding Organisation.

Qualification

Upon successful completion of this qualification, learners will be awarded the following:

NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Business Administration
